Artist Bio

Kai Chen (they/them) is a 23 year old with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance from Hunter College. They are a dancer and choreographer currently based in New York City. They've performed with Monica Bill Barnes & Co on a number of occasions, including for Fall For Dance at New York City Center in 2019 and the American Dance Festival in 2022. They hope to increase accessibility of dance and continue to bring dance to new audiences.

Kai's work is particularly based on experimentation and exploration. They've produced three dance films in their time at Hunter College and an Honors Concert showcasing their original choreography in 2021.
